Open Door Mother's Day Tea. . .May 5, 2010

I went with Caroline to Open Door's Mother's Day Tea. I still can't believe I'm a mother, and one to this beautiful 4 year old. She is amazing, and I do love her so!

My Little Sister's Wedding. . . May 1, 2010

Okay, ten years later my little sister gets married. Unlike my destination wedding in Scotland, Christina chose to have a large, beautiful wedding with almost 200 people attending in the new North Augusta Municipal Center. She married Dwayne on the terrace, and then had her dinner reception in the ballroom. We danced literally until almost midnight. It was great fun. Then they honeymooned in St. Lucia for a week. Caroline did not chicken out like we thought she would. She did fabulously. . .she walked down the aisle so proudly holding her little basket. Alas, she did not drop any flower petals. BUT she did walk down the aisle. The other great blessing was our wedding coordinator, Laura Tollison, who held things together effortlessly. . .God Bless you Laura!

Christina's Rehearsal Dinner at the Partridge Inn. . .April 30, 2010

Christina and Dwayne had their rehearsal dinner at the Partridge Inn. It was lovely. We had a great time. I was Christina's Matron of Honor and her other bridesmaids were mostly from out of town. One coming all the way from Los Angeles and another from Michigan. . .And Caroline was her flower girl :)

Open Door Spring Musical

This musical was sooo adorable to watch. All of the children were precious. . .

Open Door Spring Carnival. . .April 18, 2010

We have LOVED Open Door this year! It has been great for Caroline. She goes on Moday's, Wednesday's, and Friday's for four hours a day. She really looks forward to school, and it has really prepared her for Pre-K next year. We took her to the Spring Carnival on this Sunday afternoon and Caroline was very excited because she saw her friend Ruby. What was amazing to us was that we thought she and Ruby didn't like each other. . .or to say were rivals. Caroline will always talk about what Ruby was wearing, or anticipates what Ruby will be wearing at school that particular day in the car before she is dropped off, and when they saw each other at the carnival: they squealed at each other, and called out each other's names, then ran and hugged each other. They almost sounded like "Valley Girls." It was hilarious. . . :)
